This project is still going albeit very slowly. Starting up my website and running my campaign, along with helping bail out issue 9 of the Star Frontiersman mag has eaten a lot of my spare time but I'm slowly getting back to this.
A new point release is available. This is version 0.0.6. There is not a lot of new stuff but I thought I'd toss it out and get feedback if any. In fact there is nothing new on the strategic game side. This release has the beginnings of the combat board. It implements the following:
1) Creates a new window for the tactical combat board 2) Draws and numbers the hex grid 3) Allows you to scroll around the board and zoom in and out 4) Prompts you to select a planet icon and place it on the map 5) Prompts you to place a station in orbit around the planet. 6) Prompts you to select a ship icon to place (but there are no ships yet ).
To see the board, go to the 'Show' menu and select 'Show Battle Board'. This is currently completely separate from the main game as I flesh out the mechanics of the tactical game play.
There is a new download location from here on out. You can find the files at:

| I didn't realize I forgot to post the last two releases here. Anyway, I've just released version 0.0.9. Go to the game's official site to find out the details. |

I ran through the program a few times with only one crash. I would suggest the "View Fleet" window be re-sizable (it's very long on my screen).
Would it be possible to use the program to make my own fleets instead of using the Sathar War Fleets? :-)
When do you think the "battle map" will be ready?

What do you mean my make my own fleets? Probably but not in the near future.
A basic form of the battle map is working now. That was the point of this release. I'm hoping to tie it in to the strategic game in the next release. |

I've really got to spend more time on this and get it finished. It's been almost a year now but there is a new version of the game available to download. Jump over to the Version 0.0.11 Release announcement in the development forum for the project to download version 0.0.11 if you're interested. I've added in all the defenses so now instead of just Reflective Hulls you have the full array including working masking screens and ICMs.

| C2d on both windows programs. SAC went C2D during defensive fire (not sure exactly when). SSW crashed to desktop after configuring fleets. Running on workstation modified WinServ 2003. May 28 build of SSW, I believe version .12. |
