[Does anyone follow Cha'kki up the stairs or is he on his own? You can bet Legrange is up there.]

[stop it! You are making cha'kki nervous]

cha'kki will not just rush into battle if course, but if it looks favorable he will force Lagrange into melée combat. He might also use his spear in order to keep his distance if there is a good reason to do that. Cha'kki has also been know to detonate tanglers at point blank range and with his high reaction speed he is able to use matrix like slo-mo concentration to avoid getting tangled himself.

Cha'kki reaches the top of the spiral stairs and finds himself standing in some sort of museum. Exhibits of various kinds are set up in a large circular room. There are skeletal remains of various creatures, botany exhibits, geological exhibits and dioramas with miniature figurines like the tiny yernoid you found at the bottom of the stairs. Most of the exhibits are smashed or damaged now. Broken glass, loose bones, figurines, and various other parts of exhibits litter the floor.

In the center of the mess is a large open pit with a guard rail set up around it. A huge rotating shaft rises from the center of the pit and continues on upward into the ceiling where the machinery of the radio beacon must be hidden. The sound of wave action on rock and smell of sea air come from the open pit.

Not far from the central pit, stands Jack Legrange. He is still wearing his bulky spacesuit with the black exterior padding and the helmet in place over his head. In his gloved hands he holds a 2 meter plastisteel bar with which he is smashing the exhibits around him. As Cha'kki watches, Legrange brings the bar down on a pyramid diorama surrounded by hundreds of tiny yernoid figurines. The blow is so forceful, Cha'kki concludes that Legrange must have superhuman strength or some sort of bionic enhancements. Parts of the exhibit go flying in all directions with one piece hitting the wall near where Cha'kki is standing.

Cha'kki's bulbous eyes are taking in the scene with wonder. Noting the obvious strength of his opponent he will observe for possible weaknesses such as slow movement, dulled sense of hearing, etc. He will try to remain concealed and observe if there are any other people or perhaps a cat inside with Lagrange. If cha'kki has an opportunity to catch the cat Lagrange may have a soft spot for it. Also if Lagrange attempts to use the lift he will engage with his spear keeping Lagrange at a distance, retreating back down the stairs hoping lagrange will follow.

Cha'kki sniffs under his armpits and checks his breath. He hopes hasn't offended any of his new friends because it looks like he may need their help with this bionic bozo. He will continue sneaking, observing his suroundings, getting himself in position for a surprise strike when the opportunity presents itself. If there are any lifesize stuffed exibits he may stand in with his spear.

Chicklet draws his auto pistol, wondering why Legrange would remain in his suit- he's certainly had enough time to take it off. Smoke and mirrors, he thinks to himself and motions caution to Chakki.
Ducking back into the stairs he updates the team on these developments and checks to see if his IR goggles are being jammed.

OOC: If he can he'll take a quick peek at the room with the IR goggles.
He's considering using stealth to fade into the room and hide behind an exhibit but will pause to see what the rest will do.

Cha'kki communicates with chicklet via a series of wild antennea movements. At one point the anntenae are pointing at Lagrange while cha'kki gives the "what the heck has this guy been eating" questioning look with his arms. As cha'kki sees chicklet duck back down the stairs he will look for an electrical outlet near the stairs that they might be able to access. The idea of fried bionic chips is crossing his mind and that spacesuit with it's magnetic boots aught to light up nicely. Where is gizmo when you need him. "cha'kki to gizmo, come up, bring some wire."

No cats are visible and Cha'kki can't find an electrical outlet, but he does manage to slip in behind a botanical exhibit...large ferns preserved in clear plastic.

Chicklet's IR goggles work perfectly (no IR jamming). He sees only Legrange present in the area.

Legrange stops smashing the pyramid diorama and turns to face you. Holding the 2 meter rod in one hand, he reaches to his belt with his other hand and grasps a device that looks like a radio transmitter. Through his helmet visor you see him smiling as he lifts the transmitter with one finger on a large red button.

Shadow's got comp problems(his comp took a dump, that's a problem) he hopes to have fixed by this week.

Larry(w00t)is probably busy working on the Frontiersman and FrontierSpace.

Ooc: cha'kki feels like he is about to take a dump

cha'kki does not like the look on lagranges face nor his finger on some sort of detonator. Cha'kki senses that he has been spotted somehow and feels very dejected that this steel wielding stooge has detected him even though he is a master of movement. If vrusk's had battle range genes in their DNA cha'kki's would be warming up. If it's obvious that Lagrange is coming for him cha'kki will attack at the last moment so as to keep Lagrange at arms length while retreating around the room. He will no longer retreat down the stairs suspecting an explosion could be coming from that direction.

Cha'kki will parry twice and attack once. He will try to disarm and knock the detonator away with him attack

OOC - yep, as Will mentioned my hard drive imploded. Literally, the disc managed to make contact with the reader and I'm told there's a 90% probability that I won't be able to salvage my files. Dammit.

I do have a hard copy that I made about this time last year, but just a Documents copy and not "my favorites" website bookmarks etc. Sadly all those files I have are nearly a year old, so I won't have any current files (such as the current moves from my online games, the maps, or updated character sheets). Yeah, I'm happier than a pig in a pile of $#!t right now.

Suffice it to say, let's have Zagon watching over the truck for now. I'll try to get in more often, I dusted off an old Y2K PC with the patented "PC freezes up every couple of hours" Windows ME in the meantime so it took me a while to find some of the sites I didn't have burned into my own brain LOL

OOC: hey, sort of back from vacation, will try to post more often.

Chicklet will wait to see if Largrange has spotted Chakki, if so he will charge in and hose him with burst fire- this guy is starting to irritate him.

Legrange watches as Chicklet raises his automatic pistol, also keeping an eye on Cha'kki. "Before you fire, I warn you that I hold a remote detonator in my hand. The Pan-Galactic is rigged with high energy metallic hydrogen explosives. I planted the charges during a spacewalk at key points on the ship's exterior before you met me in the vehicle bay. If you fire on me, I WILL press this button to detonate those charges and destroy the Pan-Galactic."

Legrange is roughly 15 meters from Cha'kki and Chicklet's position. He still holds the 2 meter plastisteel rod in his right hand and the detonator in his left hand.

Outside the dome, Zagon and Greg "Gizmo" Sharpe wait in the ground transport.

"Hah! Jack Lagrange doing his own dirty work crawling around on the outside of a space liner? That's funny! For all I know its a bluff and even if it isn't I'm not even a real PGC employee and the atmosphere on the liner has turned against PGC as of late so the way I see it I don't have much to lose by blowing you away. Its well known that you're a sociopath and you'd probably blow the ship even if I didn't shoot you. Frankly I don't believe you, if you had planted explosives you would have already blown the ship. Now drop the wand and lace your fingers behind your head and get down on your knees or I will blow you away and enjoy it."

Chicklet is taking very careful aim and is prepared to hose this dirt bag an the least little wrong move on his part.

Legrange gives Chicklet this reply. "If you radio the Pan-Galactic, they could verify what I have told you by using their cameras. I had temporarily blinded The Pan-Galactic's exterior cameras with a looped image routine, but they are now functional. You would be wise to heed my warning."

[You could have your shuttle pilot radio the Pan-Galactic to verify Legrange's story, or patch a chronocom through the shuttle's longer range radio.]
